Greeting Parents,
Here are two big news items:
1. Your child’s second grading period began Tuesday, October 26. Instead of weekly progress reports, all Upper Elementary students and their parents can easily access their grades on https://dcps.mygradeportal.com. Your child’s username and password are the same ones they use in the classroom. You will find this in the back of his/her student planner. If you have trouble logging on, please contact Mrs. Renfro, or Wendy Stallworth in the main office (992-3600). For security reasons we cannot send this information to you electronically.
Class news, graded work, conduct*, and notification of missing assignments will continue to go home each week in the Thursday folders.
FYI, I input grades every Wednesday evening.
2. Duval County has purchased a wonderful math program call SRA Number Worlds that we can use at school, and you can use at home. The website is www.sranumberworlds.com. Your child’s password is taped in the back of his/her planner. When your child is on this site, he/she will need paper and pencil, or a white board and dry erase marker to work out the problems.
* If there is not a conduct grade for your child, congratulations, he/she has an A+.
